What 2431 includes

• This class consists of units mainly engaged in manufacturing cables, wires or strips capable of conducting electricity, including braided or insulated non-ferrous cables, wires or strips. Units mainly engaged in manufacturing optical fibre cables for data transmission, including telecommunications cables are also included.

What 2431 excludes

• Manufacturing uninsulated optical fibre cable are included in Class 2419 Other Professional and Scientific Equipment Manufacturing; and
• Laying or installing electric or telephone cable or wire are included in Class 3232 Electrical Services.
