What 1211 includes

• This class comprises establishments principally engaged in using timber sawing and planing machinery to manufacture planks, square timber, and other timber products using logs (including hewn lumber, cut timber, etc.) as raw materials.

What 1211 excludes

• Establishments that manufacture wooden boxes, packing crates, and others from purchased timber materials are classified under Group 123 [1232], and those that manufacture wooden sashes (door or window frames) and other finished wooden products are classified under Group 122 [1221]. This Group does not include timber that is sawn or planed on construction sites as part of civil engineering work.
