What 64 includes

  • This division includes the activities of obtaining and providing funds other than for the purpose of insurance or pension funding or compulsory social security.
  • This division also includes activities of holding financial assets such as activities of holding companies and financing conduits and the activities of trusts, funds and similar financial entities, which are not activities according to the ISIC principle in covering economic production. Units classified in groups 64.2 Activities of holding companies and 64.3 Activities of trust, funds and similar financial entities do not have any revenue from the sale of products, and usually do not employ staff (see paragraph xx-xx of the introductory guidelines) and are integrated in ISIC to facilitate the classification of units in the statistical business registers.
