Description
This sector comprises economic units primarily engaged in the mechanical, physical, or chemical transformation of materials or substances to obtain new products; the mass assembly of manufactured parts and components; the mass rebuilding of industrial, commercial, office, and other machinery and equipment; and the finishing of manufactured products through dyeing, heat treatment, plating, and similar processes. It also includes the blending of products to obtain different ones, such as oils, lubricants, plastic resins, and fertilizers. Transformation work can be carried out in locations such as plants, factories, workshops, assembly plants, or homes. These economic units generally use power-driven machinery and manual equipment. The criterion for classifying the manufacture of "parts" of a product is, first, to determine if there is a specific category under which the manufacture of the "part" is classified. If there is no such category, then the manufacture of the part will be classified under the category where the complete product is manufactured.
What 31-33 includes
