Description

Economic units primarily engaged in operating electrical power transmission systems and the physical control (voltage regulation) of the transmission network from the generating source to distribution centers or other electrical installations, via lines, substations, and other transformation equipment. Electrical power transmission is carried out at voltage levels equal to or greater than 69 kV, or with the objective of increasing the voltage level to levels equal to or greater than 69 kV. This economic activity is performed exclusively by the State through its agencies or State Productive Enterprises (EPEs), its subsidiaries, or through contractors.
