This sector comprises three subsectors, with economic units primarily dedicated to cultural and sporting entertainment services, and other recreational services. The economic units classified in the Artistic, Cultural, and Sporting Services subsector, and other related services, are primarily engaged in the production, promotion, and presentation of artistic, cultural, sporting, and similar events; the representation and management of artists, athletes, and similar individuals; and the creation and production, on their own account, of artistic and cultural works or the provision of the necessary technical expertise to carry out such works. The Museums, Historical Sites, Zoos, and Similar Subsector includes economic units primarily dedicated to exhibiting collections of artistic, scientific, historical, and generally cultural value; exhibiting live wild plants and animals; facilitating public access to historical buildings, archaeological sites, and other places of historical interest; and facilitating public access to natural areas and other sites of the nation's cultural heritage. The subsector Entertainment services in recreational facilities and other recreational services classifies economic units primarily dedicated to providing entertainment services in facilities equipped for the practice of sports and other recreational activities.
